Core Guided Meditations
The Samadhi Guided Meditation Series – 1 Hour Long Core Meditations
The meditations in the Samadhi Guided Meditation Series are not separate techniques, but stages of one evolving practice: observing the breath with ever-deepening awareness. Traditionally, Samadhi is realized through deep meditation and is a movement beyond intellectual understanding into direct experience.
As you follow this series, your relationship with the instructions matters. Focusing on the breath is simply a means of drawing energy away from the thinking mind and bringing awareness into the unconscious aspects of your being.
The technique is not something to accumulate in the mind or incorporate into your sense of self. It is, as the traditional metaphor suggests, a “thorn to remove a thorn.” Once it has served its purpose, you must be willing to let it go. As you move closer to Samadhi, there is less mind, less technique, and less self, until all activity that sustains identification with the self comes to rest.
This cessation of identification with the self is Samadhi. In stillness, it is possible to directly realize your true nature.
